This is the website for the Friends of the Coeur d'Alene Trails organization, incorporated as a not-for-profit Idaho corporation in 2003.

The mailing address is PO Box 804, Wallace, Idaho 83873.

For specific information about this association of outdoor recreation enthusiasts, you may EMAIL US, or use the form below to get on our mailing list, to request maps, to inquire about committee service, or to share your comments and ideas with us.

Committees include Ways and Means, Public Relations, Special Projects, Trail Users, and Trail Mapping. The latter group is concerned with mapping the mountain bike trails that connect with the paved bike path.

HOWEVER, remember that this is an organization staffed by busy volunteers, so PLEASE first check our NEW Frequently Asked Questions page to see if your question already has an answer. Thank you.

Sometime you might have a complex or immediate question that does not lend itself to normal email correspondence. Rick Shaffer, our designated Prime Minister of Recreation, is willing to answer such high priority questions, but please read our Frequently Asked Questions page before consulting him, and remember that he lives in the Pacific Time Zone if you
call (208) 691-9169.

The webmaster apologizes to the 42 people from 11 states/providences who took the time to use the form below to request maps and/or information between late Sunday morning, July 10, and early Tuesday evening, July 19, 2011. When updating the form's template on Sunday to reflect changes in our volunteer personnel, I uploaded the text file to the server in auto/binary mode as usual, rather than specifying ASCII mode. This polluted the associated perl script with invisible ^M (DOS linebreak) characters and derailed transmission, yet the script presented everyone with success.html anyway. This "Thank You" page states: "As a confirmation, you will automatically get a copy of the email response that you just sent. This gives you the opportunity to correct any possible typos." So if you submit the form below and do NOT immediately get a copy of your response in your mailbox, then you know that no one else got your message either. Hopefully you will then use the email link, or call (208) 691-9169, to let us know that there is a problem.
